4th of July PARADE
INDEPENDENCE DAY PARADE

Volunteers, Marchers, and Spectators wanted.

Join in our true “home town” community Independence Day Parade.
This year marks the 15th anniversary of the annual Sound View Beach Association Independence Day Parade and coincidentally this year it’s on Saturday July 4th.

Children, Adults, Civic groups, Boy/Girl scouts, Cub scouts, Brownies, Athletic teams, Military Veterans, EVERYONE is invited to march and enjoy this fun experience. Decorate your bikes and wagons, build a float, wear a patriotic costume, pets are also welcome to march along! A marching band, police, fire and ambulance trucks all contribute to a real small town fun experience. Award ribbons in categories such as best-decorated bike, most patriotic outfit, best float, and pet.

In addition to the parade this year the VFW will join us in a dedication of a plague and Flag pole on Hartford Avenue.

The Sound View Beach Association is an all volunteer, non-profit, civic organization. Everyone is invited to join or help.

Meeting time is July 4; 9:45am at the Shoreline Community Center 39 Hartford Ave. Old Lyme and step-off is 10:00am. The parade route includes Hartford, Swan, and Portland Avenues.

For more information contact: info@soundviewbeach.com or visit www.soundviewbeach.com

Entries in the Independence Day Parade must be in good taste and in conformance with the Mission and family atmosphere of the Sound View Beach Association. The decision of the Board of Directors is final.

The Sound View Beach Association is an all volunteer, non-profit, civic organization.
We’re always looking for volunteers and donations. Anyone can join or help.
